Easter 2009

When the Sabbath was over, Mary of Magdala, Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought spices with which to go and anoint him. And very early in the morning on the first day of the week they went to the tomb when the sun had risen. They had been saying to one another, ‘Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?’

The Resurrection of Jesus three days after His death is central to our Christian faith. The Holy Spirit of Our Risen Lord will give us "eyes of faith" to know Him and be open to the power of His Resurrection .

However, to believe more deeply in the Resurrection of Jesus, the “stones” of our hearts must be “rolled away.” Once we allow the Holy Spirit to do this, we will encounter the Risen Lord with great joy, love and peace .
